Transformation of journalism in Serbia

Along with social change from socialism to capitalism, Serbian journalism has been transformed. After stage of experiencing ideological liberation and political pluralism, journalism values and communication concept split apart, and gradually closed up with West. Transformation from concept of public opinion’s tool to concept of fourth power, from propagating certer to having masses as its center, from mouthpiece function to concept of entertainment and commercialization, revealed that western liberal concept has had great influence on Serbian journalism. However, having politics of liberal principles and economic reforms constantly failed, and moreover fettering of Serbian traditional culture and deep-routed ideas, mass media swayed in front of complex reality. Actually, giving up traditional and becoming completely westernized, or combining these two with its own national characteristics, is not only a question which Serbian politicians should answer but at the same time is reality that journalism has to face. Liberalism didn’t bring to Serbia Western prosperity, and it didn’t make Serbian media experience development. Old concept and theory have already been broken, new theory has not yet been found. Changing its values, Serbian mass media with great difficulties seeks for ways of development appropriate to itself.

Serbian mass media has undergone great changes in Europe, experiencing from socialism to capitalism, the great social change. Serbian journalists experienced the chaos of emancipation and pluralistic political thought at the beginning of reforms in various suffer psychologically intense impact of social change, their news values and dissemination of ideas through a time of fission, and gradually move closer to the West. But in order to change the principle of liberal political and economic system continues to fail in Serbia, the Serbian community in chaos, the mass media on the one hand continue to reflect the complexity of social reality, on the one hand and continue to be affected. What is the West to abandon the traditional round or a combination of reality and take a path of its own national characteristics, which is not only Serbian politicians need to answer the question, but also the media must face the reality, not the liberal west with Serbia prosperous way, the mass media in Serbia to accept Western liberal press theory influence also constantly reflect on the history of the old concepts and theories have been broken, a new theory has not yet formed, the Serbian mass media concept of suffering in Evolution Bitter finding a path for their own development

After a variety of media and political changes in Serbia, after a tortuous development process, is still in the midst of restructuring, attention to this issue has important theoretical and practical significance. I believe that in the near future, the Serbian media, the new era will be in a new and more relaxed appearance in front of the world, to create a world the clear crystal of news and information, and for the protection of citizens’ right to information, improve information disclosure system to make due contributions

3D film

3D technology become a very great trend to develop, the CEO of DreamWorks Animation, Jeffrey Katzenberg called the 3D technology is “70 years since the film industry’s greatest innovations”. If we called the first innovation is from silent movie to sound film, and the second innovation is from black and white film to color film, now, we ushered in the third field of innovation that from 2D to 3D.

“Avatar” was released as a milestone in the development of the film, the film marks the world was swept into a wave of 3D movies, the process of 3D movie world and therefore greatly accelerated. It gives the audience an immersive stereoscopic movie experience and become further extended movie dreaming; novel three-dimensional feel the audience is willing to pay a higher price to watch 3D movies; 3D movies more effectively eliminate piracy phenomenon, protect the interests of film investors, producers and cinema.

3D movies has demonstrated its great charm, theoretically the two eyes to see things always stronger than the one eye, 3D movie that should shape the future of mainstream movies. However, there is always a gap between theory and reality, 3D movies biggest drawback is that the viewer must wear glasses to see three-dimensional effect, which greatly hindered the popularity of 3D movies. Many people are very annoying when watching movies so wearing a pair of glasses, especially when there are problems with your eyes, you need to wear glasses, the two pairs of spectacles on a nose, overwhelmed by it when, for a long time the eye will make people tired, dizzy, so much for watching 3D movies myopia over time it becomes a pain than pleasure.

Serbia’s remarkable film in the history of world cinema, the film is now recovering in Serbia, development of the film market still has a huge space, although at a stage of rapid development, but the film industry size is not large, compared to the entire media the state of the industry’s revenue, the economic benefits of the film industry also belong to low-level, to accelerate the pace of reform in terms of the film industry, the Serbian movie will get a substantial prospect.

Enormous economic benefits only appearance, we still need to realize that the film lies in the creation of art, is a collection of scripts, directors, actors and other factors of cultural expressions, we want to fully explore the allocation of resources within the current field of study conduct a deeper inquiry related to camera technology and learning, to create a better visual effect; at the same time, the film’s content image-building is very important. Under the guidance of 3D technology, our senses have been shocking, vibrant artistic expression from the rich artistic connotation; on this basis, in order to fully demonstrate the 3D technology is a means to highlight artistic creation on film.

Serbia’s 3D film industry is still at a basic level, some of the inevitable contradictions and shortcomings, both of these problems also help constrain the future direction of the Serbian movie. An important cornerstone for the development of 3D movies is to develop a filmmaker with a distinctive international outlook and Serbia, only with their wide field of vision to lead Serbia into the world of 3D movies.

In short, today’s rise in visual entertainment, 3D movie inspired the people’s demand for the film, will lead the development of world cinema, there are many in this regard need to work to improve. Continuous learning in order to promote the continuous development of our pace in the emerging film industry, so fast to keep up with the process of Serbia advanced countries develop and strengthen innovative 3D movie career.

However, it will damage our eyes when we watch the 3D movie. With the rapidly growing popularity of 3D technology, many children’s movies begin with “3D” in the form boarded the screen, however, the Italian supreme Healthcare Commission has decided to ban the use of children under 6 years stereoscopic 3D glasses to watch movies, play 3D movies in theaters at the same time The time should be set up break. According to an Italian consumer groups said, Milan, Italy, a 3-year-old girl a few days ago in a theater wearing stereoscopic glasses eye irritation after watching the movie. The group also said to have used a 3D cinema glasses usually are not rigorous disinfection, easily spread skin diseases and eye diseases, and may even lead to the forehead audience Health herpes, but there is not enough evidence to show that they do not affect vision. Second time watching 3D movies may appear headache and blurred vision and so on. When watching 3D movies, people’s eyes will stop automatically adjust to fit the contents of the screen, so it is easy to cause visual fatigue. Because children are still in the developmental stage, the more vulnerable the eye of the structure relative to adults, so the greater the likelihood of discomfort. So when children should not be sitting watching 3D movies too far forward position, after a period of time should be allowed to watch the eyes a rest. Also should teach children to consciously blink while watching a movie, alleviate eye fatigue.

Remove glasses, and is now under a key topic of 3D technology, there are already some appliance manufacturers to develop some do not wear glasses can see three-dimensional images of the TV, the other scientists are also trying to make use of three-dimensional holographic imaging technology to achieve effect, which has been successfully used in a number of large-scale events. In theater, the American Real D announced within 10 years to let the audience off stereoscopic 3D glasses to watch movies directly to that time, the audience will be more convenient to watch 3D movies and comfortable.

Serbian Radio

It is very early to build a Radio station in Serbia, it started in Sept 19th, 1924. The first radio station tried to broadcast the program an hour a day and third a week. After that, the Serbia radio became a part of World Broadcasting. Have to say, this radio station is only later than BBC in Britain about 2 years, and earlier than Radio Tokyo and Radio Moscow a year. So it is not too behind some of the established countries in the world in Radio.

The first radio station in Serbia named “Rakovica”, it broadcasted the songs, articles from the famous books, operas and some news about political. Although is not the official radio station, it prepared for the official Belgrade radio station in 1929. And only one year, there are over 23500 people registered people and it keeps a good status until now. The programs about the radio station inherited the “Rakovica” and there is 60% music program, 13% education program, 13% literature program, 2% opera or news about political.

Serbian broadcasting industry development situation analysis:

From the statistics of the Republic of Serbia National Broadcaster showed in 2011: There are 321 official radio stations, include two republic radio stations which are Radio-Television Serbia, RTS and Radio-Television Vojvodina, RTV. That is very surprised for the Serbia because it only 7000000 people.

In first half of the 2012, there are 44.1% Serbian listen to the radio everyday and the age between 30 from 44. With the development of Internet, more and more Serbian will use Internet to listen to the radio. And there is a surprising data that 80% Serbian use the Internet to listen to the live, which is much higher than other European countries.

Broadcasting in Serbia is about to change. In July 2015 the country will switch to digital television, one of the last European countries to do so and three years behind schedule. The delay was due to a combination of the economic crisis and two consecutive elections. And when it happens, rather than leading to more choice, digital switchover is likely to force Serbia’s overcrowded media market to shrink, as local broadcasters compete for a limited number of digital licenses……

interview to Uros Petrovic

The first 3D film was finished in 09/09/2014, and published in 23/12/2014. That was the first 3D film in Serbia.

First Serbian 3D film “The Fifth Butterfly” will be shown on Tuesday, December 23, at the Sava Center. This is also the first 3D projection in the Sava Center in which there has been no such projection because of the lack of adequate equipment. For this occasion, the producer of “Delta Video” has provided the highest quality 3D canvas of 200m2 and 3D projector, the latest generation (4K). Existing sound Sava Center will be enhanced and improved special bodywork.

Our renowned writer, photographer, designer and illustrator Uros Petrovic , the author of the novel ” The fifth Butterfly “by which the film was made, this time is shared with us the impressions and information on the film.

When and how the idea was born of the realization of the film?

The idea originated in the production house “Delta Video” in February this year. (It’s a wonder the same year and the prime minister!) When you have decided that, after a quarter century of existence and distribution company, record your movie, inquired on the most read children’s books. How did I at that time had five titles on the bestseller list, they came to the novel “The fifth butterfly” and to me. The conditions we agreed to a few hundredths of a second – and, for me, the adventure of making his first 3D film in Serbia could begin …

What was cooperation with the film crew and what are your impressions of the shooting?

It turns out that they are engaged professionals, top artists and professionals. Directed by Milorad Milinkovic, starring Misha Janketić, Tanja Boskovic, Marko Nikolic, Ljubomir Bandović … Also, children who were first starred in the film have done a superb job. I tried to not a lot of them do not interrupt. I just enjoyed the fact that I am part of the spell. When it is estimated that my involvement can contribute to the quality, I was there. Especially I enjoyed spending time with the team while shooting scenes on the mountain Tara, where magic and adventure or implied.

How long did the recording?

Just shooting lasted thirty days, which is really unusual for such a demanding story and technology. Of course, complex preparation and more complex postproduction lasted ten months, which is also very effective for this kind of film. Belgrade Delta video (with the wholehearted support of the Zagreb Alka film) actually turned out to be a serious, dedicated producer.

Can you tell us more about the process of making a 3D movie?

First, it is recorded with cameras that are quite different. How can Serbia does, arrived from Croatian, along with three other truck accessories. In layman’s terms, it is a combination of two superb camera which can record on-site combined through special mirrors. Think about this plant widest variety of film equipment that fit into three trucks and fifty members of the team, and you will have somewhat true picture of the shooting. It is, therefore, a true 3D movie, filmed without technological compromises. It’s done and forty CGI (special) effects. This far exceeds anything that has so far been done by us. The audience at the premiere in Sava Center will inevitably attend an important moment in the history of Serbian cinema.

Film “The Fifth Butterfly” is announced as Serbian “Avatar”, whether it’s a sign that they moved the border in the film industry, and what do you think of contemporary Serbian film?

Limits and serve so that we know when we’ve moved. Film “The Fifth butterfly” is definitely a shift these borders for Serbian cinematography, and it visibly and luxurious. Shooting in 3D technology has not only served as a toy, but these new opportunities are exploited to the maximum, meaningful reason. Viewers will be offered three dimensions of the image, without any simplification of the film process.

As you seem novel to the screen? Is the film met your expectations?

I am the advocate in a fully immersive movie, full of adventures heard in the dark theater speakers – because I did not watch the entire film before the premiere. What I saw, it looks very fairy tale, every scene is a kind visual experience in which you enjoy. It’s no wonder, when you consider that the director of photography was Miki Trajkovic, who devoted loves and knows what works. And of course, I did not want to deny yourself the priceless moments of anticipation.

Multiple award-winning author you, if there is a reward that you would emphasize?

I have a special relationship with it, otherwise I think every day award. From konvenconalnih Prize for Literature are my favorite three “Dositejís pen” that I got, because this award recognizes a jury composed exclusively of children. I love the award of the dragon, children’s games, “Rade Obrenovic” (I got it twice) which is the counterpart of NIN award in the world of culture for children. From award for photography, in addition to those given by the magazine “National Geographic”, I would point out first place in the competition Wrigley since the award was no small – a new car with full equipment.

3D film in Serbia

The movie appeared in 1890s, and recently there has been a revival in 3D film popularity the first being James Cameron’s Ghosts of the Abyss which was released as the first full-length 3-D IMAX feature filmed with the Reality Camera System. This camera system used the latest HD video cameras, not film, and was built for Cameron by Emmy nominated Director of Photography Vince Pace, to his specifications. The same camera system was used to film Spy Kids 3D: Game Over (2003), Aliens of the Deep IMAX (2005), and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D (2005). However, the first 3D movie in the world is “The power of love” in 1922 which was lost in the past. The first thought about the 3D is from Charles Whiston who is the Scientist in British and he invented the 3D glasses and now, we need wear the 3D glasses when watching the 3D movie.

If we ask a person that which movie is the first 3D movie, the answer must is the “Avatar”. This movie is very famous in 2009, and it shooting from 2007 and used $237,000,000. We can find at that time, Serbia is in the war and everyone tries to alive. In that situation, who can do the research about the 3D films and I think that was the main reason leads to the late development about the 3D technology. In 2008, the Serbia announced independence and after that, everything develops very fast and some 3D companies built up and do the 3D technology.

The economy politics of Serbia

In 2008, Kosovo announced Serbia is independent, and Serbia will integrate the Europe.

Because of the impact from the war, the economy is very low last a very long time, and the government tried to change the economic policy to improve the economy. Others, due to the Serbia is preparing to join in the EU, the economy grow up with a high-speed. However, according to the Davos World Economic Forum, ‘2008-2009 Global Competitiveness Report’, Serbia is 85th in all 134 countries.

Serbia is managed by Democratic Party, Progress Party, Radical Party and others are 21 parties. From 2012 to 2014, there are lots of vote to decide which party will manage the Serbia. In the end, the Progress Party will lead the Serbia to develop.

The Serbia new government appeared, the development and reform of economy become the most important thing in the nationwide. However, there are three factor to restrict the development the Serbia, that are the high deficit, lack the point to grow the economic and lack of domestic demand. In order to solve the problem, the government took the measure. At first, promote the development of relevant reform bill, eliminate corruption, attracting investment and creating a favorable market environment. Then, by encouraging the development of SMEs, cuts in public administration personnel to promote private sector development. Third, fiscal consolidations, cut costs, make the government more money to create new jobs, promote education, health and infrastructure, improving the people’s live standards.
